Stay Fit with your Pets!

Spring is upon us! What better way to take advantage of the season than to take your workout routine outdoors with the best workout buddy you’ll find – your pet! Check out a few great tips to help make sure that you and your pet are getting the exercise you need to stay fit:

Abs & Fetch for Dogs

Tone your tummy while your pup sprints to play fetch! In a sit up position, pretend to launch your pet’s toy. Once your pet realizes you have not thrown it, he’ll come back for it! Pretend to throw it one more as you do another sit up. Try to get as many reps you can before you actually throw the ball.

Petstacle Course

Place fitness gear such as Hoola Hoops, jumps ropes, steps, etc. throughout your backyard to create a course! Walk through with your pet and at each station, do a specific workout. Your pet will enjoy the time together, and get a little run in while you workout.

Cat Abs

We haven’t forgotten about your kitty! Although it may be a little tougher to do exercise with your cat it’s still possible. Try doing sit-ups with flashlights in your hans. As you come up, your car will not be able to help chasing the beams on the wall.

Cat Curls

Sculpt your tummy and biceps while your cat stretches! Tie your cat’s favorite toy to your dumbbells. Keep curling as your cat tries to catch his/ her toy!
